Meet Claudia
My name is Claudia. Yoga and Pilates are an ongoing journey, and as a teacher I keep evolving and learning. I regularly take classes in different studios and enjoy the variety of styles of yoga and teaching methods on offering.
Over the years I have experienced that Yoga is not just physical, but it is also a mental and spiritual practice and discipline. For me Yoga is the relationship that is built between the body, the mind and the breath and it is creating space free from obstacles in your own body to live, it is freedom and release and it is the practice to learn to be kind, truthful and honest with ourselves and others.
I graduated with Contemporary Yoga Teacher Training and I have adopted the contemporary approach in my yoga teaching. I am inspired by the history, philosophy and tradition of Yoga mixed with some modern studies, investigation and inquiries. I see a student like a capable and competent learner and teachers and students learn alongside each other. My goal is to facilitate a practice that allows people to move from the inside out, allowing a freedom in movement and the body at ease. I aim to teach a practice that empowers people and it instigates curiosity, exploration and creativity to reach freedom in mind, body and spirit. I aim to teach a practice for a fun, loving, explorative and nourishing experience in an inclusive and welcoming environment where there is no judgment.
I have completed my Pilates Qualification with BASI Pilates which is globally recognised and being a Yoga teacher it helps me to improve the quality of the Pilates classes I teach. I completed the Reformer Pilates teacher training with Barre Body and an additional Pre and Post natal Pilates training. Pilates improved my posture, alignment, flexibility, balance and strength. Pilates also helped me to recover from injuries and prevent from getting more injuries. I have experience in helping clients to safely modify and support them in classes and offer a practice for all levels with plenty of variations for everyone, using props and creativity in the workouts I offer to my students.
As a professional I am always looking to learn more to provide more quality in my teaching. I have completed the Pre and Post Natal Yoga Teacher course with Bliss Baby to offer pre and postnatal yoga classes.
As mentioned above, I love learning. I have achieved my qualification as a massage therapist for deep tissue and relaxation massage and hot stones therapy. I am currently studying cupping and pregnancy massage.
I am a fully qualified Early Childhood and Primary teacher and I have been doing Yoga and Pilates with children for a few years. In addition, I have completed a small course for Kids Yoga Teachers with Michala Sangi and the Yogi Kids Teacher Training.
